SPRING QUARTER FEATURES MANY ACTIVITIES Spring quarter at the Branch Agricultural Ag-ricultural college Is bristling with a variety of activities and social events according to the calendar just released by the social council. Among tiie quarter's events many traditional ones are scheduled to take place. The first one, Vocational Day will be held March 30 and numerous high schools from sur-tounding sur-tounding counties and adjacent areas in Nevada are invited. Plans are at present getting under un-der way for the traditional "A' Day, April 14. Interest Is soaring high among sophomores in the annual an-nual over night trip to Zlon National Nation-al 'Park, April 30 to May 1. Something new In the way of activities, a variety show, from Branch Agricultural College will be presented April 7-8. This show Is entirely student written and stu dent produced. The week of April 19-23 is designated desig-nated as the week when the girls of the campus rule supreme. Girls' week is climaxed by a dance w inch will take place on April 23. Marking the high spot of tlu social season and the final dance before graduation week is the Freshman Prom. Other events on the social calendar calen-dar are: Sophomore Dance, April 2; Phi Delta Zeta Spring Formal, April 10; XI Lambda Tau Tennis Court Dance, April 14; Gamma Psi Spring Formal, April 29; Phi Rhc Omega Spring Formal, May 1. Just prior to the graduation week and marking the final assembly is the Award Assembly May 13. The purpose of the Award Assembly is to honor those students who have excelled in activities. The schedule for graduation week includes: Baccalaureate, May 16; Alumni Banquet and Dance, May 18; Commencement Dance, May 20; and Commencement Exercises, Ex-ercises, May 21. |
