Show NEWCASTLE A very unusual and nice evening eve-ning of entertainment was furnished fur-nished the public by the school children under the direction of Mrs. Leona White, local teacher, on May 18. In the form of a circus, cir-cus, it commenced with a band parade led by Majorette Dorothy Ward. Following was a wild animal ani-mal parade. Clowns for the show were Dennis Farnsworth, Billie Harrison, Merrill Harrisol. Bruce Rogers. Clair Hulet, and Roger Forsyth. Their stunts included walking a tight rope, tumbling and general fun m:king. Other features were horizontal bar stunts by Jack Tullis. Dennis Farnsworth and Clair Hulet; skating waltz by Karolyn Knell and Cleo Tullis; girls tumbling act by Lydia Harrison and Judy White. Dancing girls were Rosa-lie Rosa-lie Farnsworth and Sylvia White. There were also acrobatic tricks, sack dances and many songs throughout. Side show features, included Fat Lady Dorothy Ward, and Fat Man Billy Harrison, and l an "Ugliest Person in the World" ,show conducted by Cleo Tullis and Judy White. Magicians were Weston White and Richard Rogers, Rog-ers, fortune teller, Karolyn Knell. Animal tricks were by Michael Knell, Merrill Harrison and Bruce Rogers. . j. .". '.r Mrs. Katherine Simpson and family and Bonnie Gillies and Larr and Dona Koe Hartman of Las Vegas, Nevada, spent the week end visiting their family and friends here and in Cedar City. Most of our young people attended the spring opening dance at Modena Saturday night. |
