Show HEWS NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES Mrs. Vern Gillman, her daughter daugh-ter Edna, and grandson Stephen K. Chipman, of Provo, were week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife. Mrs. Amelia Green of Idaho is here visiting with relatives and friends. She is the former Amelia Dalley who lived in Summit until she was married. Ward Conference was held Sunday with President J. Harold Mitchell and President R. Taylor Miller in attendance. The MIA stake board and ward officers held a Union meeting in the Summit ward chapel Sunday Sun-day evening. Paul Fife has gone to Provo to visit with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Gillman. Melvln Matheson spent Tuesday Tues-day evening with his grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and. Mrs. Sam Peterson. Peter-son. The closing program of the Summit ward Relief Society was held Tuesday with Mrs. Cora Dalley giving the lesson. Follow, ing the lesson some time was spent in visiting and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dalley were visitors in Parowan Sunday, j Mr. and Mrs Dwight Dalley and children visited with their mother in Parowan Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker and Doss Walker of Cedar City spent Sunday in Summit. Kent Hulet who left yesterday to fill an LDS mission in Japan was honored by the Stake Elders quorum at an out-of-door party at the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Dalley of Kanab spent Saturday 1siting relatives and friends in Summit. They are former residents of Summit and enjoyed 1siting with their old friends here. Mr. and Mrs. William Adams, and daughter UlDene spent Sunday Sun-day evening at the home of Mrs. Susanna Hulet, who gave a dinner din-ner in honor of her grandson Kent Hulet. Mrs. Serelda Fernley spent Thursday with her father S. W. Peterson, who Is 111. |
