Show City Awards Contract To Install Pipe For Power Plant The Fullmer Excavation company com-pany of Springville, Utah, was losv bidder for welding the pipe and installing the penstock for Parowan city's new hydro-electric power plant. The bids were opened at a special meeting of the City Council held Tuesday afternoon, and Mayor E. Ray Ly. man, states that the bid will be awarded to the company immediately. immed-iately. The Fullmer company bid was for $10,403.35, and work on the contract will commence as soon as papers are signed between the company and Parowan City. The successful bidder will be allowed 4.) working days to complete the job. Other bidders and the amounts of their bids are as follows: H. J. Delaney. Cedar City, $12,408.00; E. K. Fuller, Salt Lake City, 510,785.05; Martindale and Blacken. Black-en. Springville, $10,475.00; L. H. Paulson, Brigham City, Utah, S13.835.00. and L. A. Creer. Provo. Utah, $12,796.75. Thomas C. Adams, Parowan city's engineer on the project spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Parowan, working on the engineering en-gineering phases of the project. He is readying plans and specifications specifi-cations for a building to house the machinery for the new generating gen-erating system. Construction of this building will commence as soon as possible, and with its completion, the water wheel and generators will bp installed by' the Pelton Water Wheel company and General Electric Company respectively. |
