Show Cedar City Junior High School at War Monday the Cedar City Junior High school completed Its "Schools At War" scrap book and mailed it to Charles R. Mabey, state chairman chair-man of War Saving program for Utah. In the scrap book Ij contained a record (step my step) of the war activities of the school, the most outstanding of which are the scrap drive, the bond and stamp sales campaign, the copper drive, the patriotic essay contests, patriotism through flags given the school by the American Legion and record of "Star Spangled Banner'' given the school by the Legion Auxiliary. The and many other projects are illustrated in pictures and writing in the scrap book. The pictures of the various activities ac-tivities were all taken by the photography pho-tography club under the direction of Mr. Fred Lewis and the written articles under the direction of Mr, J. C. Haws who has been chairman chair-man of the stamp and bond sales committee. The total for stamps and bond sales since war was declared was $11,500. |
