Show Cadets, Students Participate In Army Day Parade The attention of Cedar City people peo-ple was focused on the United States military training program Monday when 500 aviation cadets marched on Main street in an Army Day Parade, the largest contingent of the nation's armed forces ever to be assembled In Cedar Ce-dar City. The parade was sponsored by Uie Cedur Post of the American Legion In observance of Army Day, twenty-six ars after the United States' entrance into World War I. In addition to aviation students, the Cedar City High School Band, and the high school Girls' Physical Education Posture Oroup participated partici-pated in the parade. The line of march was from the Escalante hotel to the B. A. C. studlum where the cadets thrilled a large crowd with maneuvers and retreat ceremonies. Alfred Olson, American Legion Post Commander, expresses his appreciation ap-preciation to the officers and men of the Aviation Student contingent, contin-gent, to A. B. Larson, Band Director Direc-tor and his bund members, and to Ml s Leora Petty, Physical Education Edu-cation Director, and her students, for their participation in the Army Day activities. |
