Show New Scrap Metal Drive To Start A new scrap metal campaign will get underway next week that will surpass any such salvage drive yet undertaken, according to Mark Webster, Iron County Salvage Chairman. Mr. Webster announces that Utah's quota of scrap metal to be salvaged In thU new drive has been set at a hundred million pound's, 10 percent more than wai gathered In 1942. State Salvage Directors will visit Cedar City next Wednesday, Apr'l 14th., to outline the scrap metal program for iron County, Mr. Webster states. He has arranged a special meeting to be held ai tne Public Scliool Auditorium Wednef-day Wednef-day at 8 p. m. at which time the visitors will discuss the problems with local salvage workers. All salvage workers, together with patriotic citizens Interested in helping with the war effort, are urgently requested to attend the meeting and help outline a campaign cam-paign that will put this county "over the top.'' |
