Examination Given The Army and Navy examination examina-tion was given to all of the Senior boys of the High School. This was a screening tet to help determine what branch each boy Is best suited for. Such training as Officers' Of-ficers' training, sj)ecialized training train-ing in Engineering, and other fields will be given to the boys most suited for the different types of work. Although the rating.; made by each boy will not be sent to the school, their rates will be sent to each of them Individually, Army Day Many of the students of the High School participated In the Army Day program put on by the army and town people. However, it rained. Mar:hlng in the rain recalls to the memory of the high school band students the last time they marched, the Music Festival last spring, when it rained. It seems that a very definite way to bring rain to Cedar Is to have the Cedar High School Band march, or else it Is Just a coincidence. Miss Petfy, our physical education educa-tion teacher and 70 of the girls in three of hrr cla sea took part in the parade. The girls were all dressed In white. Registration Trial reg'stratlon for next ear Is over. All of the 9th. 10th. nnd 11th grade students have registered for the classes they plan to take next year. Definite plans have been made to have a Victory Corps at the High S:hool next year. This Corps has been Introduced Into other high schools throughout the :tate nnd has proved very successful. success-ful. We arc sure that It will also become an effective part of our school next year. School Nearing Close We now have only three more weeks of school. Only fifteen more days and school will be over for the yeur. We are anxious for school to be out and many of the students have even figured the numbers of hours of school we have yet to attend. at-tend. Ninety more hours and 5,400 more minutes, then many of us will leave the school for the last time. Although we are anxious for school to be over we still hate the thoughts of leaving Cedar High, for we know that some of our happiest hap-piest days have been spent here. The Commencement exercises are bring planned. Miss Carmen Lrlgh has charge of these exercises and is working hard on them. We know that they will be remembered remember-ed by all of those who are graduating gradu-ating thl) spring. |
