Show Cedar City Plans Annual Clean-up Monday, April 12 The annual Junior Chamber of Commerce Clean-up campaign will open Monday morning and by evening ev-ening it is expected that every lot and street In Cedar City will have undergone a thorough "Spring Cleaning.1' With the entire community com-munity cooperating it should not Ite a difficult task to accomplish this. The schools, the city and even the contingent of Aviation Students Stu-dents stationed at the B. A. C. will participate in making the day a succejs. with trucks made available avail-able by the city and the Junior Chamber, and with plenty of help from students and soldiers, all rubbish rub-bish piled in the streets will bo hauled away during the day. Property owners are asked to clean up their lots on or before Monday morning and pile the rubbish rub-bish in the street in order that the haulers may pick it up. Trucks will not enter any lot to pick up rubbishif rub-bishif it is not piled in the street it will not be hauled away. A house to house canva.s of the town will be made in the next two days to solicit the support of property owners for the campaign. It has been announced that all stores will be closed Monday afternoon, after-noon, but this was an erroneous report. The merchants having decided de-cided to keep their stores open for the convenience of their patrons, particularly those from out of town but have agreed to cooperate wltn the clean-up campaign in every way possible. |
