Wise gardeners pick bouquets of favorite annuals like Marigold, Z nnia, Petunia, Sweet Peas and Snapdragon with systematic regularity, regu-larity, tor the picking promotes continued blooming. Periodic trimming is not best for such small, low-growing edging flowers as Alyssum. A complete cutting, however, will benefit this type of plant. This treatment may 1 be applied to Ageratum, Linaria, Lobelia, and Nemcsia as well as Alyssum. Pinks, Cynoglossum, and Dwarf Bedding Rust Resistant Snap- dragon are grown both for cutting and for garden beauty, but they too will profit by a thoroughgoing ' "haircut" such as that prescribed for the smaller, edging favorites.
