Show Tourist School to Open in Cedar Wednesday, April 30 Plans are now complete for the tourist and trade school for all employees em-ployees of the business institutions of Cedar City which will be held under the sponsorship of the Cedar Ce-dar City Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Chamber of Commerce, with the cooperation of the Department De-partment of Vocational Guidance. The school will be held on Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday of next week, April 30th and May 1st, and again on May 7 and 8. Two sessions will be held each day, the first one being held between the hours of 2 and 4 p. m., with the second session, which will be a duplication of that held in the afternoon, being held between be-tween the hours of 7 and 9 p. m. By holding the two dally sessions it is felt that more people will be able to avail themselves of the opportunity op-portunity to attend the school than would be possible if only one meeting meet-ing were held each day. W. C. Winder, Jr., of the State Department of Vocational Education, Educa-tion, will conduct the school. He comes very highly recommended, having conducted several similar schools throughout the state of Utah which have proved exceptionally exception-ally successful. Members of the committee in charge of the school will contact all employers during the next few days to get both the employers and the employees enrolled. An enrollment enroll-ment fee of BOc will be charged, according ac-cording to the committee, for the purpose of defraying the neseccary expenses which will be Incurred. The employers who have been contacted have expressed an enthusiasm en-thusiasm for the proposed school whose purpose is to train all employees em-ployees is method of salesmanship, courtesy and approach as well as to Inform them of the resources of southern Utah, together with the scenic attractions to be found in this vicinity, It is expected that there will be 100 percent cooperation among the business houses with each employer doing everything he can to arrange his schedule so that all employees will have the opportunity oppor-tunity to attend one or other of the dally classes, |
