Show Four Former B.A.C. Students Elected To Agora Club Four former Branch Agricultural College students who are now attending at-tending school at the USAC in Logan were among the 20 USAC debators to be appointed to membership mem-bership in the Agora Club, honorary debating society, it was announced Wednesday by Agora Director Alan Fonnesbeck of Logan, following completion the previous week ef Aggie participation in 1941 lntra-collegiate lntra-collegiate debate tournaments. The former Branch Aggies to be awarded this honor were Raymond Kimball of Kanosh, former student body president at the local school; Mont Kenney, George Armstrong and Grant Bethers, all of Cedar City. Kimball and Kenney have earned letters and have been members mem-bers of the Agora Club previously, while the other two were elected members for the first time this year. Tournaments and contests entered enter-ed by these students during the post year include the Rocky Montaln Forensic League Convention In Bozeman, Montana in November, the Rocky Mountain Speech Conference Con-ference in Denver in February, an eighteen hundred mile barnstorming barnstorm-ing tour through southern Idaho in early April, the Utah-Idaho Junior college tournament in Logan two weeks ago and dual meets with Brigftiam Young university, University Uni-versity of Utah, St. Mary's college and Weber college. Final forensic activity of the year for these speakers will be the annual an-nual Utah Student Legislature to be held in Salt Lake City on April 25 and 26. |
