LEGAL DEPARTMEINT I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SKCTION 18 09 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN OR-DINANCI OR-DINANCI AMENDING AN 0SD1 NANCf AMENDING SECTIONS t AND 18 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED EN-TITLED 'AN OMNANCE GOVERN INC, CEDAR CITY WATER WORKS,' AND REPEALING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED, 'AN OR DINANC1 PROVIDING FOR THE SPRINKLING OF LAWNS'" Be it ordained by the City Council of Cedar City, Utah: 'Section 1 That Section 18 of an ordinance of Cedar City, Utah, dated November 16th, A. D. 1914, entitled. "An Ordinance Amending an Ordinance Ordin-ance Amending Sections 4 and 18 of an Ordinance Entitled 'An Ordinance Governing Cedar City Water Works,' and Repealing an Ordinance entitled, 'An Ordinance providing for the Sprinkling of Lawns," be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 18. No licenses shall be issued is-sued for a longer period than six months; provided, that all licenses issued is-sued under the provisions of this ordinance or-dinance shall expire on the .10th day of June, and the Mat day of December Decem-ber in each year, and semi-annual rates for supply of water from the Cedar City Water Works, to In- paid to the City Treasury in advance, are hereby fixed and established as follows: fol-lows: Rakery $5.00; butcher shop $:1.!0; public baths, $:t.00 for first tub and $1.00 for each additional tub; drug store $5.00; restaurant, hotel, or boarding house, $t5.50 for first tap and $.25 for each additional tap; house or private residence, for each family, $1.00, each bath tub $.50 and each water closet $.75 and each urinal $.75; store or shop $11.50 for first tap and $.25 for each additional tap; barber bar-ber shop 18.50; doctor's office $1.50; pool or billiard hall, $SJS swimming pool $25.00; hospital $1.00; laundry, meter only; garage, meter only; soda fountain$1.00; black smith shop $:?,50; water animals $.25 each; school house, meter only; hose connection con-nection for sprinkling lawns, or yard., $1.00; provided that in time of scarcity scarci-ty of water the mayor may by procla mation limit the use of wuter for lawns, yards or sprinkling purposes. Water for use of business other than those named in the foregoing schedule may be furnished at rates to bo fixed by the City Council. A license for the supply watered for uny period of time shall be proportionate to the foregoing rates, provided, that no licenses shall be issued for a shorter period of time than from the date of application of same to the date on which such licenses shall expire as hereinbefore provided. Any person so desiring may lltttaU a water meter and take water through the same, such meter to be a type ap proved by the City Water Master, and to be installed under his supervision-and supervision-and at the expense of the water taker. The rates for water supply through meters shall he $.15 per one thousand thous-and gallons and shall be paid monthly, month-ly, with a minimum rate of $1.00 per month Section 2.
