Show SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Hagenbarth will leave next week for a month's trip to Mexico. Mrs. H. N. Mayo entertained at an elaborate luncheon last week. Many prominent Salt Lakers went to Ogden on Thanksgiving day to attend the sacred concert given for the benefit of the new St. Joseph's church. Miss Marie Luce spent the past week in Park City visiting friends. Mrs. A. Shelp entertained last week in honor of Mrs. Buhl of Sharon, Pa. Mrs. Bartley McDonough and children chil-dren returned to Park City last week, after a pleasant stap here with friends. Governor H. M. Miss Crof ton has gone east to visit her mother. Mrs. Michelson of Denver, with her son and daughter, has come to Salt Lake to reside. Friday evening .of last week the Oi-pheum Oi-pheum club gave a social party at the home of Mr. M. E. Mulvey, 160 South Seventh East street. Misses Margie Mulvey and Grace Radcliffe presided at the punch bowl. After a most delightful delight-ful musical programme a dainty lunch was served. Mrs. Thomas Kearns went to Park City Monday morning to visit her mother, Mrs. Sarah Wilson. Henry Ryan of Chicago arrived in Salt Lake Monday night, and is registered regis-tered at the Kenvon. Fred L. Bagby of The Herald was operated on for appendicitis by Dr. A. C. Behle at St. Mark's hospital last Saturday morning and was reported to be doing well at last accounts. Mrs. W. W. Armstrong returned to Park City Sunday morning after a pleasant visit with Mrs. John Reed. , . Miss Luce left for Park City Tuesday morning to be the guest of Mrs. W. D. Donoher. - John M. Daugherty of Omaha and W. W. Wishon of Butte, the visiting directors of the Wabash, left for the Montana metropolis Monday morning. i ; j Hon. O. J. Salisbury returned from Park City Sunday night, after inquir- j ing into conditions at the Daly-Judge, with 'the behavior of which he is very much pleased.. -&- W. F. Flanagan, formerly with the Associated Press in this city, has returned re-turned from Ohio to take the position occupied by F. A. Christman. B. C. McDonough of' Stateline, Utah, visited the Intermountain Catholic on Wednesday. Mr. McDonough is superintendent super-intendent of the Johnnie mine, in the flourishing camp of southern Utah. The entertainment announced by the Knights of Columbus for last Wednesday Wednes-day was postponed owing to the death of X. P. Dooley, and will be held on next Wednesday evening at the Ladies' La-dies' Literary club building, commencing commen-cing promptly at 8 o'clock. Knights of Columbus announce a euchre party and informal dance for Wednesday evening at Ladies' Literary club building, commencing at 8 o'clock. |
