The mining situation remains practically unchanged unchang-ed today, all the mines and mills being in full operation with the exception of the Smuggler-Union properties. It is not likely the Smuggler-Union mines and mill will be reopened for a week or ten days,-or until after the stockholders stock-holders of, the -"company in Boston hold a meeting and issue special directions. direc-tions. Of the 500 miners made idle by the property closing down, half of that number have left for other mining camps in the state and a number have gone to Utah and California. The miners min-ers consider the situation serious and believe the shut-down is a permanent one.
