Show Senator Kearns left Salt Lake Saturday Sat-urday morning over the Union Pacific. He intends remaining a few days at the Auditorium Annex in Chicago, where he expects to look after numerous numer-ous private business interests, but will arrive at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York about Wednesday. It was his expectation ex-pectation to see Senator Clark of Montana Mon-tana in New York, but the Montana senator is understood to have sailed for Europe yesterday. Senator Kearns declined to talk upon the character of business he had in view in New York, but it is believed that it relates to the San Pedro Railroad company, in which he is largely interested, and of which he is a director. Senator Clark of Montana goes to Europe for the sea voyage, as it is his intention to land at Southampton and take the first returning re-turning shia for New York. Senator Kearns will arrive in Washington Wash-ington only a day before the assembling assem-bling of congress, and will be at the Raleigh hotel, as last winter. He will spend the Christmas holidays with his family here and immediately after the beginning of the new year Mrs. Kearns will accompany him to Washington and remain there during the social season. sea-son. . |
