Show . PUEBLO, COL. ' After a very brief illness with pneumonia, pneu-monia, Philip J. Hickey. a prominent citizen of Pueblo and well known all over the state of Colorado, died suddenly sud-denly Sunday at his residence, 930 South Union avenue. For several days Mr. Hickey was unwell, and Friday evening became ill in bed. He rapidly grew worse and his death came with a suddenness that shocked his family and friends. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Pat-rick's church Wednesday morning. The services were conducted by the Rev. Father Ware. The pall bearers were members of the Elks. Interment at Riverview cemetery. Miss Edna McGuiggan, daughter of Manager F. H. McGuiggan of the Grand Fork railroad, Montreal, Can- I ada, who has been visiting Mrs. H. E. Whittenberger, wife of the superintendent superin-tendent of the Denver & Rio Grande, ' returned to her home in the east. Miss McGuiggan is on her way home from a visit in Salt Lake City. A beautiful wedding ceremony was performed at high mass this week at St. Mary's church. Math German and Miss Kate Hoffer were the high contracting con-tracting parties. Rev. Father Cyril performing per-forming the ceremony. .Miss Hoffer has been the organist at St. Mary's church for several years, and Mr. German is a popular musician.- Both, parties are well known in the city. |
