Editor Intermountain Catholic: My Dear Sir: Replying to your favor asking- my approval of The Intermount&ln Catholic since its establishment in tr.i aiocese, I will state that I consider the j founding of a Catholic paper in Salt Lake ' not the least of the many blessings be- ; Mowed by Providence on the Church here , during the past two years. Its birth oc curred at an opportune time. Its zeal, in propagating Catholic truth, has had. ; k.nce its inception, my hearty, though Pilent approval. 1 believe with Our Holy-Father Holy-Father fhat "a good Catholic journal is a perpetual mission in a parish." and that it will serve as a question box, at ail i times, for anxious inquirers. In my visl- ; tations I shall hope to rind The Inter- , mountain Catholic in the homes of every O.tholic family. Its mission is to es-pouse es-pouse truth, justice and morality, and ail devoted priests will find in It an able co-i co-i operator in their missionary work. It is i my wish that all my priests and the laity entrusted to my charge should encourage ' your noble effort and that of the gen- ' erous founder of The Intermountain i Catholic. Yours sincere!'.
