Show daughters Ruth and Blanche were visitors at Salt Lake City Sunday and Monday. i Mrs. C. N. Liljenquist and daughters Coy and Carol left Thursday for Chicago. While away they will visit the Worlds . Fair. ! Mrs. Eugene Petersen was the hostess to the Coterie club at her home Friday afternoon. Bridge was played and a dainty lunch-j eon was served. Prizes were won by Mrs. Joseph Pearce and Mrs. P. L. Clark. Special guests were Mesdames Andrew McGee, Molen Petersen, Verio Petersen and P. L. Clark. Mrs. Henry Scheby entertained t at a bridge party at her home i in Logan last week. Guests from Hyrum were Mesdames A. E. Gill, C. J. Jensen, Verio Petersen, Peter-sen, Algernon Petersen, Floyd Banty and Eugene Petersen. Mrs. Thomas Eliason and family fam-ily returned home Wednesday from a two months visit at St. Louis Mo. She was accompanied home by her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lockett. j HYRUM - j zzzzz Hyrum The annual convention conven-tion of the Hyrum Stake Relief society, was held Friday afternoon, after-noon, August 31 in the Hyrum First ward at 2:30 p. m. A program pro-gram was given as follows: singing sing-ing of Sociability songs; prayer. Pres. John A. Israelsen; double i trio, Mendon ward; retold story, Hyrum First ward; vocal duet, I Hyrum Third ward; vocal duet, j Paradise ward. Following the ! program the class leaders separ-1 ated to their various departments. depart-ments. The visiting teachers, presidency pre-sidency and visitors remained in the auditorium where an address was given by Sister Mary C. Kimball of the general board of Salt Lake City. Pres. John A. Israelsen also sopke. Following the department work the gathering gather-ing adjourned to the amusement hall where a Flower Show was held and also a wonderful display dis-play of needle craft. Prof. Lin-ford Lin-ford of Logan judged the flowers. flow-ers. After visiting the displays, dainty refreshments were served. There was a good attendance from each ward of the stake present. pre-sent. Miss Alice Israelsen left Sunday Sun-day for Delta, where she has accepted ac-cepted a position .as instructor in the high school. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Terry and family returned last week after a pleasant vacation spent at southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Neilsen and Mrs. Ruby Jensen were Salt Lake visitors Saturday and Sunday. Sun-day. Thomas Griffith of Provo was the guest of Miss Rella Miller over the week end. - The marriage of Miss Matilda Aebischer of Logan and Verne .. Miller took place in the Salt Lake Temple, Sept. 4, following the marriage they left for a wedding trip to Yellowstone Park. They will make their home here. Mrs. D. J.
