Swapp, Culver City, Calif. ; Thomas Swapp, Bountiful; Mary Jean Oldham, Whittier, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. David Dodds, Salt Lake City; Rebecca Dodds, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Brian Johnson, Provo; Mrs. Steven Dodds, Cedar City; Mrs. George T. Dodds, Sacramento, Calif.; Miss DeAnn Dodds, Provo, Ut. There were 71 descendants of Thomas Dodds attending the family reunion which was held at the home of Howard Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas, Las Vegas, Nev. and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ainsworth, Greenville, Miss, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock. Gale Wilcock, Verd Worthen, Earl Roe, Bob Smith and Leonard Wilcock were in Cedar City on business for the race meet. Sheri Wilcock and Lynette Sawyer visited in Las Vegas over the weekend with Sheri's grandmother, Myrtle Connell. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock visited in Hatch on July 4 with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton, Velma Huntington and Buster Evans. Daniel Davis and Kevin Davis, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Davis, Cedar City visited their great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wilcock were in Cedar City on business. They also visited their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lamond Davis. Earl Jolley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jolley received his Duty to God Award in the third Ward sacrament meeting. Marie Owens, Henderson, Nev. and her son, David Owens, Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Ren Barton and grandchildren, Brye Barton of Glendale and Shanna Barton of California are visiting at the family home here, the Joe Owens home. Our local National Guardsmen are in Camp Guernsey, Wyo. for two weeks of summer camp. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Mac Miller are their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Miller, Tooele. Nicole Orton, the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Orton, was named and blessed by her grandfather Kendall Brinkerhoff in the third Ward sacrament meeting. Si Crofts and Lewis Crofts, both Price; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crofts, Annabella; Mr. and Mrs. Duane (Carolyn) Wiles, Cassidy Miller and Destry Miller, all Cornville, Ariz, spent the holiday weekend at their cabin at Pangutich Lake. The sons of the late LaVern Daly s held a family reunion at Panguitch Lake. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Daly, Whittier, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Daly, Lander, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daly, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Daly, Colorado; and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Daly and Arvilla Daly, Gran-tsville. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daly, Panguitch. Myrtle Heywood had surgery at the Dixie Medical Center in St. George. Lillie Lambson, Minersville is visiting at the home of her granddaughter and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Dale Baldwin. Mr. and Mrs. Keith R. Henrie of Winslow, Ariz, are visiting his brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Steele Henrie and Mr. and Mrs. Don Henrie. They had attended her family reunion in Oak City and a birthday for her mother who is 93 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henrie held a family reunion for a week on the Mammoth. Attending were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Henrie and Mr. and Mrs. Duff (Kathy) Mitchell, both Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Pat) Green, Denver; and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Simkins and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hatch, Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Henrie, Phoenix, Ariz, are here to spend the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin (Emma Jean Lee) NechviUe and Karen Nechville, Tempe, Ariz, visited in town and enjoyed Bryca Canyon. They attended the golden wedding celebration in American Fork for Mr. and Mrs. Fred Warnick. Mrs. Warnick is the former Mar Ellen Daly. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix the first of the week was his daughter Colleen Morrill and granddaughter Monica, McGill, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix, Kristy Barabas and April Dix visited in Parowan with the Richard Dixes, in LaVerkin with Roxanne and her son Steven Dix, in Washington with her sister the Darol Allreds and in St. George with the Casey Dixes. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Dan (Nedra) Tebbs held a family reunion at Ticaboo and Bullfrog during the 4th of July weekend. On July 3 a birthday party was held for Karen Tebbs and on the 4th for Mr. and Mrs. Dan (Karen) Tebbs son Douglas, a birthday party was held. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Dalton are the parents of a baby girl Emily. She has two sisters and three brothers at home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton, Hatch and Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey, Minersville. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Owens are the parents of a baby boy. He has one brother at home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glen Owens and Mr. and Mrs. Devon Owens. Belva Christensen, Orem and Guyla Savage, Richfield visited their mother Elba Schow who is in the hospital. Michael Holyoak, Cedar City is visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carvel Henrie. Michael is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cullen (Kay) Holyoak. Ronald Bulkley, Vernal visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otho Bulkley. Annette Hatch, Koosharem and Helen Bird, Richfield visited their mother Grace Young, who has been ill. Mr. and Mrs. Norm Hill, Salt Lake City visited in town. The Hills are former residents of Panguitch and lived here when Norm worked for the Soil Conservation Service. Mr. and Mrs. Otho Bulkley attended the Peace Officers Convention in Logan. They took their granddaughter Peggy Williams, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick (Bonnie) Williams home to Ogden after she had spent 10 days visiting them. Granddaughter Susanne Bulkley, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bulkley, went with them to visit her aunt and uncle, the Williams and then came back home with her grandparents after they had attended the convention. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hatch, Scipio visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Frandsen. Ryan Fran-dsen, Salt Lake City the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Frandsen, is visiting his grandparents. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Prince at their cabin at Panguitch Lake have been her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert (DeLoa) Reed, No. Hollywood, Calif. They were on their way to Salt Lake City and Boise, Idaho to visit their children and plan to be gone for two months. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hatch took his mother to Logandale, Nev. and spent a week. Golda Jean Orton, Cedar City visited in town and is feeling much better following surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Parry returned home after traveling with the BVU Study Group to Rome, Egypt and Israel. Rodney is the seminary teacher here. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hatch and Tiffinie Hatch, Syracuse visited overnight at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hatch. He also visited brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hatch and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hatch and sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Yardley. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Osturd, Tooele brought her mother Ruby G. Myers home after she had spent three weeks visiting at their home. While Ruby was up north they attended the John Ephraim Myers reunion on June 22 at the Murray City Park and on June 29 they were guests of the John F. Worthen family reunion also held at the Murray Park. Visiting Ruby had been her niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wallace, Las Vegas, her sister, Julia Dewey and nephew, Lyman Latham, Washington City. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parkinson and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Thompson, both Ogden visited their sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Steele Henrie. Tyson Henrie, the son of Vaughn Henrie, Mountain View, Calif, is spending the summer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steele Henrie. Candi Lee Riggs, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Riggs, Vernal was named and blessed in the Second Ward sacrament meeting by her father. Their daughter Rachel Riggs was baptized Saturday night and confirmed in sacrament meeting by her father. They visited with Tina's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kay and John's mother Erna Riggs. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kay have been their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Decker, Sandy and their daughter-in-law and children, Sabrina Kay, Hanksville. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Owens had their daughter named and blessed in the First Ward sacrament meeting and given the name of Falyn Rai by John Yardley. A family dinner was held afterwards. Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Lucinda) Judd who live at Ticaboo provided the headquarters for the group. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tebbs, St. George; Mr. and Mrs. J. Daniel Tebbs, Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gottfredson, Salt Lake City; Veda Hale, Kamas; Mr. and Mrs. Kent Miller, Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Dixon, Salt Lake City ; Mr. and Mrs. Brian Hadley, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Brent Hale, Provo; Aaron Tebbs, Hurricane and Craig Tebbs, Provo, a total of 34 family members. They enjoyed swimming, water skiing, sailboating and just visiting. The new baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Judd was blessed and given the name of Andrea Kate by her grandfather Daniel Tebbs. The Dan Tebbs of St. George visited in town on their way home and took care of some business. The Thomas and Susan Heaps reunion was held July 6 at the Fishlake picnic bowery area. It was hosted by Afton Church and her sister Jessie Giles, Bicknell. All seven living children were present with a total of 92 in attendance. Beverly Quinones and daughters Susan and Theresa, Austin, Tex. are spending the summer with her mother Afton Church. Brandi Church and Champ Church, Vernal are also visiting their grandmother. Leah Henrie and son Jason are spending two weeks with her mother Afton Church before moving to Cedar City where Leah has been transferred with Utah Power & Light. Laura Julander and Hope Goulding attended the 85th birthday party for their aunt Virginia Smith at Henrievlle. Garna Dee Webb, Cedar City spent one week visiting her grandmother Hope Goulding. Ronnie Adair and Aurelia Orton visited Hope and took Garna Dee home. Hope Goulding received word of the birth of a great-grandson to her grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Dutton, Fredonia, Ariz. Hope Goulding and her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hepworth attended the John Franklin Worthen family reuion at Murray City Park. They took Sara Worthen as far as Mapleton where she visited with her two sisters; then they brought her home. Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen spent a quiet weekend at their cabin at Panguitch Lake. The Sandberg family reuion was held at the ranch at Widtsoe. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Rex Sandberg who are now living at the ranch; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sandberg, Salt Lkae Ctiy; Mr. and Mrs. Merril (Marie) Memmott, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Webb and son Kevin Webb, Duck Creek Village; Avon Sandberg, Kelly and son Devon Perry, Cedar City and Joe Sandberg Jr., California. Visiting at the home of Mamie Talbot have been her children, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Talbot, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Talbot, Sandy; Mr. and Mrs. Steven Talbot, Escondido, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Talbot, Cedar City and Barbara Talbot, Montezuma Creek, Utah. Alice Henrie spent a week in Springville helping her foster mother Leona Cameron. She visited her sons and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Henrie, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Val Henrie, Springville; and Michael Henrie, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Crompton, Sparks, Nev. and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shirley, Cedar City visited their mother Norma Crompton and sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell V. Henrie Jr. and had a family reunion. Visiting the Jim Excells have been his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Don Excell, Humboldt, Ariz. They all attended the Henry G. Excell reunion in Manti where the Jim Excell family hosted it this year. There were 180 in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Shauna) Dow and four sons visited the Dick Excells. Visiting Irene Cooper has been Chloe Morrill, Junction and Mr. and Mrs. Artie Woodard, Cedar City. Irene and her daughter Carla Owens attended the Cal Price family reunion in Junction. Mr. and Mrs. Devon Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Owens, June Owens and Mary Hobson, St. George attended the naming and blessing of the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Pollock in Tropic. She was named Megan and blessed by her father. Also attending were Greg's sisters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Veater and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Jackson. Mrs. Pollock is the former Lisa Owens. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene (Catherine) Anderson, West Jordan visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jensen and her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. John Houston and took their children Jennifer, Jared, Lacee, and Laree home after they had spent two weeks visiting their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Henrie attended her class reunion in Cir-cleville. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Edith) March, Salt Lake City visited for a few days at her parent s'home, the James L. Hatchs. Her mother, Delia, is looking forward to getting home this summer. |
