Show 1985-86 City Budget Gets Council Okay At its public hearing for fiscal year 1985-86, the Panguitch City Council approved a budget of $239,500 for its water department and $393,956 for its general fund. The council adopted mill levy of 18.86, an increase of 1.71 mills over last year's levy. In a second hearing, the council reopened its 1984-85 budget to make adjustments of $12,275 with most of the increaes occurring in the street department for chiping and sealing the city's streets. Funds received were from the cemetery fund to pay for the caretaker's wages. In other actions during its regular council meeting, the council approved purchase of two insulated steel doors for the fire station at $800 each. It also approved membership in the Rural Water Association and noted that the city is being sued by the Jerry Mosdells because the Mosdells feel they were treated unfairly when the council's decision was to deny them rezoning of their property. |
