Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Renone Hodson and son Alan visited in Tropic with her parents, the Ray Littlefields. Mary Lee Ramsay enjoyed a visit Monday from her two sisters. Mike Riddle visited parents and helped with the construction of the new Riddle home. Paul Mangum went to Grand Junction to the horse races Saturday. His horse came in second. Jodi and Richard Heaps made a trip to Provo to the football game and attended LDS conference in Salt Lake City. The Richard Scotts were with them. Malen and Angelyn Mecham went to Green River to visit their son Jerry. Gordon and Sharron Pollock visited the Dean Wintch and Virgil Pollock families. Ruth Baugh enjoyed a visit from her niece and husband from Provo. We all had a scare Saturday when the ambulance came tearing up the street, with sirens going and lights flashing. It stopped at the Gam Haycock home to pick up Leanna Duel, who became suddenly ill, and took her to the hospital in Panguitch. We were happy to learn that she is alright now. She had been visiting with her son Leland and family, while he was here visiting with his family while on leave from the service. We are fortunate to have such good service when it is needed. Clella and Norman Llttlefield are visiting their daughter Judean and family in Wyoming this week. The George Wilsons enjoyed a visit from their daughter LaNita; from California, and her family. Margaret Mecham took Nell Wilson and Elizabeth Barton to Orem to visit their children, and then went to Salt Lake City to visit her daughter Nancy and family. The Carl Syretts have a granddaughter born Oct. 2 to Karlene and Mike Muir. The little girl has a brother at home welcoming her. Lloyd Cox and son Alan visited with the Owen Shakespears for a day, enroute home from a trucking job. Owen fell Sunday and broke his arm. Deloy came home to visit his parents for the weekend, and help his father get some of the garden harvested. He brought his family along to help. Elizabeth Barton enjoyed a short visit from her daughter Floriene Barney. Kathy and Gary Davis visited the Wallace Otts. LaRene Munson has returned home after spending two weeks with her daughter Elaine and family. Elaine has a new baby girl, and grandmother stayed long enough to get acquainted. The Brackenberrys spent the week on their ranch getting the apples harvested. We were sorry to have the Gem Johnsons move to Provo. They will be missed in the community. Jim and Kathy Thomas were in Salt Lake City on business. Amplus LeFevre accompanied her granddaughters Rose and Donna Brinkerhoff; to Cedar City. She' visited her daughter Gaya and family. There were several Tropic people in Cedar City this past week including Verdella and Minnie Nielsen, Ron McGee, Wanda and Kathy Shukespear, Eva Dean Francisco, Angeline and Ernest Ahlstrom. Ray and Violet Llttlefield spent four days in Salt Lake City visiting their daughter, Christine, and son Dean and family. The Charley Fran-ciscos enjoyed a visit from their daughter Helena and husband this past week. While here they helped the Fran-ciscos dig their potatoes and carrots. Dick Lohdefinck, from Richland Wash, visited Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ahlstrom. |
