Show Firewood Gathering Regulations Listed With the changing of the season, cool fall nights, and anticipation of cold winter days many people have turned to gathering firewood again. The Beaver Ranger District reminds the public of the following rules while cutting wood on the Fishlake National Forest: Please leave any trees that have been marked with paint as they may be part of a timber sale. Please obtain or make sure you have a current personal use wood permit as most permits are issued October 1 to September 30 each year. These may be obtained at the District Office, 190 North 100 East in Beaver, Monday thru Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Leave your stumps no higher than 12 inches from the ground. Wood obtained with a personal use permit cannot be sold. To sell firewood a commercial permit must be obtained. |
