Show Bryce Water System Review Completed Park Superintendent Thomas O. Hobbs announced that Bryce Canyon National Park has completed is Environmental Review covering the installation of the park headquarters water system. This development will replace the existing deteriorated water system constructed in the late 1920's that serves all of the developed areas in the park headquarters area, Including the 120 unit overnight lodging, public showers and laundry, visitor center, two campgrounds, and park housing areas. After making an environmental review of the water system, the National Park Service has decided not to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. The Environmental Assessment and Review is on file and available for inspection at Bryce Canyon National Park headquarters, Bryce Canyon, Utah 84717 for thirty days. The Assessment and Review considers the nature of the resources, available alternatives, their impacts, mitigating values, adverse effects, a brief description of the alternative selected as the proposed action, and any additional considerations providing a basis for the conclusion that an environmental impact statement is not needed. In a brief ceremony earlier this week, county attorney, Russell Mahan officially administered the oath of office to newly appointed Panguitch City Justice of the Peace, Wayne llolman. |
