Show Panguitch Continues Winning Streak to Lead Region Eight Panguitch continued to dominate Region Eight Class I A high school basketball by racking up its seventh straight victory against no losses over Wayne 77-48 In other weekend games, Piute edged Escalante 71-58 ; Parowan over Beaver 68 57; Valley 93, Bryce Valley 64; Kanab over Enterprise 76-70; North Sevier 57 51 over Gunnison. On Saturday, Beaver edged Enterprise 80-76; North Sevier defeated Parowan 68-55; Milford edged Gunnison 64-58. In division two, Panguitch continued its dominance with a very impressive 77-48 conquest of Wayne Kevin Fran-dsen paced the Bobcats with 22 while Doug Owens, Jeff Owens and Dave Black all hit 17. Improving Valley throtted arch-rival Bryce Valley 93-64 after breaking the game open early in the second half Mark Esplin paced the Buffalo effort with 21 while Geno Ramsay had 20 Warren Hoyt scored 18 while Derek Lamb and Ivan Frost each added 14 Link Chynoweth paced the Mustangs with 20 while Kelly Kleese had 18. Suddenly, the Wolves caught fire and, before it was over, the Cowboys had a struggle to keep their one-half game Division One lead over Milford. But, despite being outscored 25 15 in that final period, Kanab captured a 75-70 victory. The Cowboys had a balanced effort with Kim Glover scoring 18, Kris Glover 14 and Don Glover 11. Arlan Simkins paced Enterprise with 25. The race in division one is close with Kanab leading with a 6-2 record followed by iviuford with a 5-2 mark. Gunnison, Parowan and North Sevier are all right behind. North Sevier's 57-51 victory over Gunnison was the nights best contest. The Wolves took a nin-poini lead in the first quarter and maintained it througn most of the game, although Gunnison fought back to make it close. Todd Kennedy paced North Sevier with 25 points while Troy Hallows added 13 and Randy Bun-hit 12 Randy Warren had 12 to pace the Bulldogs while Scott Madsen added n. Parowan, the surprise team in Region Eight this season, earned a 68-57 victory at Beaver to keep pace with 'he leaders.
