Karl A Kler, of the SCS, stated that every course showed a marked improvement over last months readings. Panguitch Lake is 142 percent of normal with 13 inches of snow and 4.7 inches water content. I Castle Valley is 82 percent of normal I with 26 inches of snow and 3.75 inches water content. Duck Creek is 137 percent of normal with 37 inches of snow and 10.8 inches water content. Long Valley Junction is 197 percent of Utah following series of rwent storms. SCS survey indicates brighter water picture for region this year. normal with 29 inches of snow and 6.9 inches water contents. Widtsoe Summit is 123 percent of normal with 20 inches of snow and 4 inches water content. Widtsoe number 2 is 83 percent of normal with 20 inches of snow and 4.5 inches water content. Widtsoe number 3 is 85 percent of normal with 26 inches of snow and b o inches water content. This average is a 15 year period between 1958 and 1972. Kler cautioned that even though these readings are generally quite high, there should soon be readings around the 225 percent mark because of last vears droueht |
