Show Charlei Baldwin CANNONVILLE Charles Angus Baldwin, 81, CannonviUe, died Jan. 28, 1978 in a Panguitch hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1896, Pareah, to George Henry and Martha Matigum Baldwin. He married Mary Myrtle Wilson on Oct. 19, 1916 in the Manti LDS Temple He was a stockman, postmaster and operated a mercantile business in CannonviUe, retiring in 1966. He participated in horse race meets throughout the in-termountain area. He was a member of the LDS Church and served as Sunday School teacher, Scoutmaster and president of the Elder's Quorum. He was a high priest group leader, MIA president, counselor in the bishopric, temple worker and a bishop. Survivors: wife, son, daughter, Preal Angus. Ogden; Mrs. David (Gwen) Evans, CannonviUe; 12 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren Funeral services were held Jan 31 in the CannonviUe LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Clele Fletcher officiating. Daniel H. Heaton offered the family prayer and Elva N. Clark played prelude and postlude music. James A. Giover gave the invocation. Spearkers were Gwen B. Evans, Bishop Joel A. Wilson, Bishop George W. Thompson, Stanley Mecham and Bishop Clele Fletcher Music included songs by the combined ward choirs, and song by Preal and Rela D Baldwin. V. DeVoe Heaton offered the benediction. Burial was in the CannonviUe Cemetery by Neal , Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield Bishop Marion G. Clark dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Brent Baldwin, Russell Baldwin, Matt Baldwin, W Floy Henderson. Michael D. Henderson, Charles E. Henderson and Kelly L. Littlefield. |
