Bank Hosts Garfield Leaders at Banquet Officials of Zions First National Bank hosted 115 business, civic, school and church leaders from throughout Garfield County at a "get-acquainted" dinner in the Panguitch Social Hall on Friday night. Speakers were Angus Bellistion , vice-president of Zions branch, Al Schoenhals, executive vice-president of Zions and Jerry Lynch, manager of the Panguitch office. Schoenhals, a 49-year veteran with the bank, gave the group a general historical background of the formation of Zions. He also explained how the merger with the two Southern Utah banks will provide a greater service for the area in financial services available. Bel list on announced a regional board of directors made up of area residents, who have been associated with the banks. These include Alten Christen-sen, Ken Chamberlain, and Morris Nielson, all Richfield, Carvel Mattsson and Marden Pearson, Salt Lake City; Charles Larsen, Salina, Wallace Lee. Panguitch; Burnell Lewis, Kanab; Dale Clarkson and Lee Barton, Manti The merger became official Jan. 10 when Zions took over operations of the Richfield Bank, as well as First State Bank with its four offices in Salina, Manti, Panguitch and Kanab. |
