Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Kirk Chynoweth made a trip to Salt Lake City and brought his wife Gloria home from the hospital Ella Adair was released as the Family Relations teacher, and Max Stewart was sustained in her place in Sunday School The new Star B teacher in primary is Marilyn Boucutt. Word has been received that Katie and Devar Pollock were each injured in automobile accidents recently. The Lester Clarkes have a new granddaughter born to Karen and Merrill Willis in Sandy. The Clarkes have the little newcomer's two cictorc ctflvin0 with thpm for awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clarke and family were recent visitors with the Lester Clarkes. Richard had been back east to a special Air Force training school for two weeks. The James Munsons spent a few days in the LDS Temple in St. George. A delicious dinner was served to ward members. The high priests were in charge of it. Proceeds go to help with the building fund. A diabetic clinic was held in the school. Jay and Maxine Crosby spent the afternoon, Thursday, Jan ?6th. with her father Tom Richards, and helpeo him to celebrate his 88th birthday. We are happy to have Shame Garrett, Gloria Chynoweth and Leda Mae Foster home from the hospital. Word has been received that VerDella Nielsen is doing very well. The Douglas Ahlstroms were out of town over the weekend for dental appointments. Lady Lions is postponed until next week. They will meet with the Lions Club for a Sweetheart party and dinner. Charley and Eva Dean Francisco spent Saturday in Beaver with their daughters Helena and Sandrea, and helped Sandrea, Helena and Charley celebrate their birthdays. Robin Gregory spent the weekend in American Fork with her parents and sisters. Tuesday afternoon Mr. Blackner of the LDS Church Social Services Dept was the special speaker in Relief Society. LaFaun Pollock has returned home from Grantsville where she spent the past two weeks with her sister Gwen Richins, who is very ill. RaVae PoUock is with her now. A special Cancer Clinic will be held in Tropic on February 16. Anyone wishing to have tests may sign up with Eva Dean Francisco or Violet Littlefield. LaMar and Cheri Feltner were in St. George this past week. LeRoy Marshall visited with his mother over the weekend. He had been fishing in Lake Powell and had a nice big trout to show to the neighbors. Mary Jo Barton and ( niiiii en visiicu niui uic Alton Shakespears. Katie Marie Willis, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Mar Willis received her name and a blessing from her father. Grandfathers Willis and Roach assisted with the blessing. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Willis and Mr. and Mrs. Cornell WiUis and sons visited with the Roy and Kay Mar Willis families. Mary Jean also had her father, mother and sisters at her home over the weekend from Park City. Will Richards was ordained a Deacon. Dixie Shakes pear was in Cedar City for a few days with son Danny's family while he was away to school. She brought a grandson back to visit with her for awhile. Visiting with the George Jolleys this weekend was their son Robert's sister from northern part of Utah. Starting next week relief Society wiU start at 7:30 p.m. Norman and Loral Barton were home over the weekend. NaKole Richards was in Tropic over the weekend. She is employed in Payson. Mr and Mrs. Gam Haycock have a new grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Haycock in Blanding. Shirley went over to stay with the family for a few days and get acquainted with ue new little boy. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Garrett attended the Square Dance in Richfield. They were elected to serve as secretaries of the Square Dance Club for the next year. NeU Wilson u In Kanab this week with her grandchildren while Connie and Jim are at tending a seminar. |
