Show Commissioners Name Animal Control Man The Garfield County Commission 1 decided in the last meeting to hire Charlie Ledbetter as the animal control officer. He will be paid according to the animals he picks up. The price he charges will be determined by the state law. Brent Bowcutt and Max Stewart of the Family Life Services reported that there are openings for chore service in Garfield County. They also reported to the Garfield County Commissioners that the Work Incentive program is operating in the county. Bowcutt stated he will make a report sheet of the services he gives to Garfield County residents and will try to give this report to the commissioners at least once a month. Earl Henrie and Herbert Allen of Job Service discussed the Job Service Program Henrie says he has funds for Title VI special projects and other title money if there is a need The county will list the projects they would like completed with these funds and give them to Henrie. Allen asked about county employment and industry. He was Dax-ticularly interested in the coal mines near Tropic and Cannonville The commissioners said these mines will be operating in the future. Allen stated it would be a good thing if the county could get a grant through the Economic Development Administration or some such organization to help with the improvement of the Burr Trail road. Attorney Dave Mower will try to locate the proper funding. |
