Show Panguitch Patter RHM Roene Dickinsen attended two day sessions on Community Adult Education at Utah Technical College in Provo. Rabiea born in the past week at the Garfield Hospital was the boy of Mr. and Mrs Russell button, Panguitch The Charles W Cox, Glendale's gave birth to a small boy. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harding are proud parents of a baby boy Mr. and Mrs. Lynn .Inlander. Monroe were parents of a small daughter. Seems like boys outnumbered the girls, if you are expecting and wanted a boy it should have come in last week The Garfield Development Center Senior Citizens celebrated two birthdays the past week, Houston Hatch and Ethel Henrie. There have been many new senior citizens start coming to the development center Guess they couldn't stand to sit back while others were having so much fun. The Center had two visitors from Escalante, Faye Alvey and Leah Griffin for a visit and to eat their noon meal. Out of town visitors are always welcomed and enjoyed. Alta Orton was happy to report that her grandson, Wade Orton, son of Walley Orton, Kanab won the Kane County One-on -One 4-H contest held in Kanab for the 11-year olds and he won again in the Cedar City play-offs. He will attend the State 4-HOne-on-One play-offs in Logan, to try for State Championship. Debbie and Jim Robinson, Glendale spent a day visiting their mother, Donna Johnson. Both Afton Church and daughter, Leah Henrie are in the Salt Lake City hospital. Afton with a foot operation and Leah with knee surgery. Barbara and Glen Leach spent the weekend in kanab visiting relatives and doing business. Vera and Leonard Wilcock are spending their cold months in St. George. Don't know if they think they will have more fun in a warmer climate or if Leonard is trying to get out of work. Everyone should come into the New Garfield County News office. There is still building to be completed but George Middleton is surely making the place look beautiful! Velma Barney is in the Garfield Memorial Hospital feeling better but not well enough to come home yet. Although the snow did not stay it is always exciting to get up in the morning to find that more has fallen during the night. Don Kidder, Panguitch city police officer was home on the weekend from attending the policy academy in Salt Iake City. They naturally spent time on their snowmobiles Jerrie Fackrell surely enjoyed visiting with her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Redick Fackrell in Springville. She enjoyed visiting with her brothers and sisters-in-laws also Louise Englestead spent most of last week home in bed with the flu. Ingra Richards spent last Thursday in Cedar City to a postmasters meeting Don Ipson is out of the hospital after spending a week. Nello and Isabell Ipson spent the weekend in Salt Lake City. The Panguitch LDS wards each attended a session at the St George LDS temple. The First Ward went Jan. 25 and the Second and Third Wards went Jan. 28. Bob and Virginia Higbee and children spent Sunday visiting her parents, Vee and Ramah Bruhn. Devon Owens is recovering from surgery in the Garfield Memorial Hospital. The Pink Ladies of the Hospital are holding their annual election meeting tonight (Thursday) in the Panguitch City room. |
