Statistics show us that 30 percent of alcoholics are women; 25 percent of the population at alcoholism treatd of the membership of AA ment centers are women and are women. Women have always had drinking problems, however, it was hidden in the home. Todays women are out in the workforce as never before. They have high powered positions and all the stress that goes with those positions The women that were in the home drinking are now out in the world, very visible and because of this visibility they are more likely to be forced to recognize their disease and get help for it.
