And living next door to Castle Country means you have one of the best. Castle Country is filled with excitement, wonders and beauty. Imagination abounds In Castle Country with canyons that change mood with the time of day; Indian ruins and prehistoric art that echo of earlier inhabitants; and with the rapids and calms of the majestic Green River. Take some time and get to know your neighbor. You'll discover why visitors will travel miles to see Castle Country. . Goblin Valley is a blend of reality and fantasy as frozen stone goblins and elves mischievously watch your fascination. You can almost feel the' goblins watch as your children play hide-n-seek among rock formations that look as if they could move at any moment. Or you can wander through the maze of stone creatures alone and while there try to capture the wonders yourself. ' However you enjoy the wonder, Goblin Valley wiil be a haunting delight. People come from across the nation for the white wafer of the Green River. All you have to do is step next door. Plan a white water trip that will be hard to match or enjoy the calm of the Green River on the Friendship Cruise over Memorial Day. If you had lived in or near Castle . Country hundreds of years ago your neighbors would have been artistic cave dwellers who recorded their stories on stone walls for everyone to see. Today these drawings can still be seen next to the now deserted dwellings along Nine-Mile Canyon. They are considered to be some of the first examples of prehistoric art.
