Show - Orem-Geneva Times- -Wednesday, May 23, 1984 Orem High Seminary Graduation May 27 Orem High Seminary announces its graduation commencement exercises exer-cises on Sunday, May 27, 1984. The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the Orem High School Auditorium. All parents, family and friends of the graduates are invited to attend. Presiding over the program will be President Clifton M. Pyne. President Presi-dent Jerry C. Washburn, representing the Stake presidents in the area, will accept the graduates. Speakers from the graduating seniors will be Carl Hull, Seminary President; Catherine Britsch; and Ronald LaBaron. Prayers will be offered by Natalie Ficklln and Leston Drake. Musical numbers will be presented by the Orem High Chamber Choir. There will be an open house at the Seminary following the graduation service for all guests and graduates. This event will be held at Cedar City at . Southern Utah State College from June 3 to June 9. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Dowdle. Julie's field of interest in high school is mathematics. Orem Branch AAWU Ends Season With Art Show The Orem Branch of the American Association of University Women, held its final study meeting of the current year recently. It featured a travelling Art Show of twenty-five paintings sponsored by ' the Utah State Division of AAUW.' They were hung in the cafeteria at the Provo Campus of the Utah. Technical College for members, guests, and students to enjoy. Local artists, who also displayed some of their paintings, were Hannah Oldroyd and Carol Owens. Members and guests were greeted by Margaret Johnson, president of the Orem Branch. Dinner Din-ner was prepared and served by the cafeteria staff at UTC, chaired by Margaret Sullivan. Following dinner, din-ner, Edna Carroll, program vice president of the branch, introduced Blanche Sheffield who presented a slide show with narration entitled "Great Women in American History." She was assisted by Lorna Alder. The Orem Branch AAUW has held monthly study meetings of the two current Issues recommended by the national Association.
