It gives the dish the extra dimension of smoky flavor as well more soul food-looking color. Serve with french bread and a simple salad. Jambalaya can also be made with linguine or spaghetti noodles. And like we felt after the rice party, the leftovers are a welcome sight and not something to shove to the back of the refrigerator to be forgotten. Jambalaya is one of those dishes that ages well like lasagna. The flavors arc more blended on the second day. Call for entries in 1993 Film Festival The Sundance Film Festival, a program of the Sundance Institute, today issued its call for entries for the Independent Feature Film Competition for 1993. In discussing the event, Geoffrey Gilmore, Director of Programming Program-ming for the Sundance Institute commented "Perhaps the greatest accomplishment of the Sundance Film Festival in the last several years is its role in giving different voices and a range of styles and visions the opportunity to be heard and seen. We hope to continue being the premiere showcase for new independent cinema." The Competition is the centerpiece of the eleven day festival which also features premieres, tributes, international cinema, retrospective programs and panel discussions with leading figures from the film industry. This year's event will take place January 21-31, 1993 in Park City, Utah.
