JOIN AWOMAMSPM(SH 1147 w Highway 40 107 Vernal. Utah 789-5482 Vernal businessman Robert L. Foley has stepped forward to initiate USU's Faculty Endowment Campaign with a $10,000 contribution. While USU continues to grow, adding nearly 400 students to its spring 2007 enrollment, enroll-ment, the need to expand programs and secure faculty has become increasingly increas-ingly important. Foley, who serves on the USU Board of Trustees, knows first hand of how important the endowment fund is to the Uintah Basin Regional Campus. "We are in a new era of higher education educa-tion in the Basin," says Foley. "President "Presi-dent (Stan) Albrecht is committed to creating a university system that includes in-cludes not only Logan, but full-fledged regional campuses like the Uintah Basin." The USU Board of Trustees is in full support of the president's goal to create "one campus, one faculty and one curriculum," cur-riculum," says Foley. "For our students in the Basin that means that when they get a degree from USU Uintah Basin, it has the same quality, rigor and value as a degree in Logan." The Uintah Basin Faculty Endowment Endow-ment Campaign is an effort to secure funds from a variety of extra-mural sources to help bolster the already bergeoning programs. USU Uintah Basin Director Dr. Guy Denton says university officials hope that others will follow in Foley's footsteps. "He has always set a great example for all of us," says Denton.
