Show $ x ' f 'xx::. v i Virginia Tanner students enjoy the creative dances they are taught to perform. The dance studio is beginning its 41st year, and is now enrolling Bountiful students. Virginio Tenner Creotive Donee Progrom to begin The Virginia Tanner Creative Dance Program has been offering creative dance instruction to the Bountiful Community for five years. Classes are taught at the Stoker School. Bountiful classes are offered for children three and a half years old through fourth grade. Enroll by calling call-ing the Virginia Tanner Creative Dance Studio at 581-7374. In its 41st year, the Virginia Tanner Creative Dance program carries on the philosophy and methods established by the late Virginia Tanner, acclaimed as one of the world's foremost dance educators. The program stresses the importance of balanced intellectual and physical development. A solid rhythmic foundation is provided through an introduction to note value, meter, .pulse and syncopation, syn-copation, depending upon the students' age level and readiness. While technique is taught for the development of strength, flexibility, control, balance and awareness of the body's potential, an equal emphasis em-phasis is placed on creative problem solving. At the University Campus Studio the Virginia Tanner Program will be offering a preschool for ages 4 to 5 which will be held 9 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Fri-day. This program will provide preschoolers pre-schoolers with opportunity to express ex-press themselves through creative dance, art and music. Classes are offered for children two and a half to 18. Adult conditioning condi-tioning and all-boy classes are also offered. The Creative Dance Program runs on semester basis. Fall semester classes begin Sept. 17 and end Jan. 19.
