KUED to air skating special Kurt Browning is a name that will be on virtually everyone's lips this February-he is the three-time World Champion male figure skater, a 24-year-old Canadian who has accomplished the most difficult program ever tried by a figure skater: a quadruple jump and seven triples, six of them in combination (including a triple axel couple cou-ple with a triple toe loop). Charming and energetic, Browning is expected ex-pected to be one of the 1992 Winter Olympics' star personalities and a gold medal contender. "Olympic skater Kurt Browning: Tall in the Saddle," airs on KUED, Channel 7 on Friday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. The entertainment special was shot on location in and around Browning's home town of Caroline, Alberta, in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Browning is joined by fellow skaters and friends, including 1991 World Champion Kristi Yamaguichi and professional skater Gary Beacom. |
