By MARK EDD1NGTON Staff Writer CENTERVILLE Two men and a male juvenile from Salt Lake City were arrested by Centerville detectives Tuesday in connection with five vehicle burglaries and the armed robbery of a convenience store. A clerk at RB's One Stop convenience conve-nience store, 219 W. Parrish Lane, was robbed at 11 p.m. Monday. Centerville police Sgt Russell Furse said the three suspects entered the store to get some beer for a party in a nearby trailer court Two of the suspects grabbed three 12-packs of beer and the other approached the checkout counter. Furse said the cashier asked if he had any identification, prompting one of the assailants to pull a knife and hold it just inches from the clerk's face. "The kid said, No, but we're going go-ing to take the beer anyway,' " Furse said. The suspects escaped on foot across Parrish Lane, apparently los- ing one of the 12-packs in the process. pro-cess. Officers learned the names and whereabouts of the robbers Tuesday morning when they were investigating a series of five automobile burglaries. Furse was taking a report from one of the vehicle owners when he noticed an-unusual set of footprints leading from the road to the vehicle. Furse and the owner followed the tracks to a trailer in a nearby mobile home park. Police had a composite sketch of the knife-wielding suspect and Furse said several witnesses |
