Show New boundaries OK'd The Davis County District school board voted unanimously Tuesday to approve new boundaries for four Kaysville elementary schools to alleviate overcrowding. Under the new enrollment plan, some Fruit Heights students attending Morgan Elementary School would switch to Burton Elementary and some Kaysville students attending Columbia Elementary would change to Kaysville Kays-ville Elementary. The plan also calls for some students living in Hess Farms to attend Knowlton Elementary in Farmington. Board members see the plan as a means of relieving overcrowding at Columbia Elementary and to equalize the student load among all the elementary schools. The plan was bitterly opposed by some parents living m the Happy Homes subdivision who contended moving their children from Columbia would do litde to relieve congestion at the school over the long run. |
