Show Beauticians choose Ettie Lee Home in Genola as service project n Two willing: workers, hairdressers hair-dressers from this city, who like to be called friend? of the Ettie Lee Homes for boys are -Cora Lee Johnson and Vonnie Leetham. These two women took time out to pay a second visit to the "Vicker Tribe" as they call themselves at their home in Genola. Cosmetologists of Affiliate No. 7 have selected this home as their service project for the 19th National Beauty Salon Week this year which is being observed nation wide. The two beauticians started much excitement at the home as they unloaded shampoo, cream rinses, combs, brushes, hair dressings, deodrants and many items that most people take for granted but which are more than welcome items at the home to help keep twelve young men well groomed. The home is run by Mr .and Mrs. Lee Vicker. Mrs. Vicker was a former school teacher in Spiingville. The boys were busy setting the long table for dinner. Some were in the kitchen helping mother Mary Vicker while others were assisting as-sisting father Vicker with carpentry car-pentry tools repairing shelves in one of the rooms. Each assisted as-sisted in his part in the family pattern. Candy Valentine treats completed com-pleted the visit by the beauti-cians beauti-cians who received a great satisfaction sat-isfaction seeing the welcome response of the young men by those who exhibited love and kindness. SERVICE PROJECT The Ettie Eee Home in Genola has hetin selected by Affiliate No. 7, Utah Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Cos-metologists Association, to receive help by the organization as part of National Beauty Salon Week and also throughout The year. They presented a hair fashion show and luncheon with proceeds to go to the boys shown living at the home. |
