Show Services held Monday for Lucy S. Boswel! Services were held Monday in the Third-Ninth Ward Chapel, Chap-el, for Lucy Salisbury Boswell, 55, wife of Bishop Joseph Boswell, Bos-well, 259 No. 200 W., who died Thursday, June 15, 1967, of complications following surgery. sur-gery. Joe Knight of the Third Ward Bishopric was in charge. Burial was in the Vine Bluff Cemetery at Nephi, under direction di-rection of Wheeler Mortuary. Mrs. Boswell was born Aug. 24, 1911, in Nephi, a daughter of Elijah and Mary Fowlkes Salisbury. She was married to Joseph Boswell Aug. 11, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a graduate of the LDS Seminary in Nephi and the high school at Ogden. She graduated from Quish School of Beauty and at the time of her death, was operating Lucy's Beauty Shop here. Following her marriage, she made her home in Nephi and Santaquin, moving to Springville Spring-ville in 1949. She was active in LDS Church, serving as a teacher and stake dance director direc-tor in the MIA. She taught in the Relief Society and Sunday School and also served as librarian li-brarian in the Sunday School. While in Nephi, she served a stake mission for the LDS Church, and was also a member mem-ber of the Lit-Lor Club. In Springville, she was a member of the Aureole Club and the Bustles and Bows square dance group. Surviving are her husband and two sons: Kent and Jack Boswell, all of Springville; her parents of Nephi; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Floyd (Ann) Wing of Provo; Mrs. Milton (Marjorie) Boswell of Glendale, Ariz.; and David Salisbury Sal-isbury of Anaheim, Calif. |
