Show City adopts budget, raises water rates Public hearing on the Spring-Je Spring-Je City budget for the fiscal ir 1967-68 was held in the incil chambers of the civic center Monday June 19, followed follow-ed by the regular meeting of the council with Mayor Calvin Packard in the chair. Eccles Cameron and Alton Beck met with the council in regard to acquiring permission to place curb and gutter at about 1060 South from 700 East to about 800 East Streets. City engineer John Neff is to check the plans and make recommendations rec-ommendations before approval is issued. It was moved my Councilman Peay and seconded by Councilman Council-man Child the city accept the new water and sewer rates effective ef-fective July 1, as follows: water, wa-ter, city residents, $3 per month minimum up to 15,000 gallons and 12 cents per thousand, thou-sand, gallons thereafter. All apartment units will be read monthly during the year and all single residence units during dur-ing the summer months. Sewer rates will be increased 25 cents per family unit per month and the commercial 50 cents per unit per month.
