Show Ann Whiting engaged to wed Lark Allen in temple rites Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Whiting of Mapleton announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ann, to Lark M. Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Champ Allen of Springville. The ceremony is planned for May 24 in the Salt Lake Temple. A wedding breakfast after the ceremony -s will honor the newlyweds at the Sky Room, Hotel Utah. The following evening the young couple will be given a garden reception at the home of the bride's parents. The charming bride-elect has asked her sister, Gayle, also Valerie Twelves, Judy Peterson, Leona Farley of Yuma, Arizona, Ari-zona, Carolyn Whitehead, of Roseville, California, and Nancy Nan-cy Wilfe of Portland, Oregon, to be her attendants. Gylan Allen will serve as best man for his brother, and Mikel and Steven Whiting and David Allen, ushers. A graduate of Springville High School and LDS Seminary, Semi-nary, Miss Whiting is a senior at Brigham Young University majoring in homemaking education. edu-cation. She has been active in student body government at the Y, serving in the sophomore and junior class House of Representatives, Rep-resentatives, on the academic emphasis committee and as president of education majors in Sigma Delta Omicorn.
