Stevenson, Provo businessman and resident of Payson announces his candidacy candi-dacy for Utah County Clerk, on the Republican ticket. Active in the affairs of the Republican Party Mr. Stevenson Steven-son is treasurer for Utah County Coun-ty Republican Party and a member of the County Central Committee. He organized and led the first Republican Neighbor Neigh-bor to Neighbor Drive, serving as chairman in 1965 and is organizing or-ganizing another such campaign cam-paign to begin on June 6, to raise funds for the Utah County Coun-ty Republican candidates. Mr. Stevenson is serving as County Unit Chairman for the South Utah County Unit of the American Cancer Society. He has served in the capacity of Unit Chairman for the past two years. During World War H, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was assigned as an instructor of photography. In July 1945 he was selected for special training as a rehabilitation rehabili-tation specialist to assist in the demobilization program of the Marine Corps until his discharge dis-charge and citation for meritorious mer-itorious service. Returning to Payson he resumed re-sumed his position with United States Steel as head photographer photog-rapher at its Geneva facilities. From 1948 until 1954, he was engaged in the air polution studies for the steel company in Utah and Salt Lake Counties. Coun-ties. In 1948 he founded the firm he now heads, Stevenson's Photography and has continued of the machine shop, and is training Kurt to take his place when he is released in June. Larry is receiving some wonderful won-derful training in electronics. He will be released in December Decem-ber of this year. The boys visited vis-ited Australia recently, and wrote their parents that this is one of the most beautiful countries in the world during April and May, which is the fall of the year down there. Their ship will return to San Diego the first part of June for the first time since last September. Mr. and Mrs. Roundy are planning to meet the ship. Kurt will return with them for a short leave.
