Show Street safety rules posted can be very dangerous if we are not all careful. "8. Never chase other children or animals into the street. "9. Be careful of people walking and crossing the street while you are on a bike, skates, etc. "10. Cross the streets very carefully in snow and rainy weather. The Cedar City Police Department; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post 3510; and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary have teamed up in an attempt to educate children and parents concerning safety on local streets. The groups have come up with a list of ten safety precautions for children. The list is as follows: "1. Look before crossing a street. Stop at all corners, look left to right, carefully checking for oncoming traffic. "2. Never jay walk or cross the street in the middle of a block. Always . cross streets at toe corner of a block. "3. Never cross a street when the red or orange light is facing you. Wait for the green light that is go, this means it is safe to . cross the street. "4. Pay attention to the school crossing guard. He is there to protect you. When school is in session, his job is to see that you cross the street safely. "5. Never dart out into the streets on bikes, skates, after a ball or between parked cars. Be careful of driveways. A motorist may not see you while backing out of a driveway. Also be alert for small children playing in driveways and in the street. "6. Wear light clothing at night and have reflectors on bikes so motorists can detect a bike rider. Stay on the inside lane close to the curb while riding a bike. "7.
