Show Youth to present conceit Larsen of Cedar City, Douglas Childs of Esk-dale, Esk-dale, Don Findlay of Ephraim, Wayne Erickson of Ephraim, Thelma Compton of Monroe and Denise Wadsworth of Mt. Pleasant. The Youth Symphony was organized five years ago by Mrs. Larsen. who felt ' that orchestra students in the southern part of the state should have the experience. The Southern Utah Youth Symphony will present a concert in Cedar City Saturday in the Cedar City High School Auditorium at 8 p.m. The orchestra, made up of about 120 students from Cedar City, St. George, Pa rowan, Esk-dale, Esk-dale, Ephraim, Manti, Richfield, Salina, Monroe, Mt. Pleasant and Price, will perform the Grieg Concerto in A Minor with John Simmons Sim-mons of Ephraim as piano soloist. Also on the program will be the fourth movement of Haydn's London Symphony, the theme music from Masterpiece Theater, Russian Sailor's Dance by Gliere and Elegy by Gould. The group, under the direction of Dennis Hansen of Snow College, will be assisted in their day-long rehearsals on Saturday by some of their teachers: Robert Patter of St. George, June |
