Show Paragonah By NANCY DALTON Record correspondent PARAGONAH -Many relatives, friends and annual camping parties visited Paragonah residents during the deer hunt. While many of us deerhunters were up in the mountains beating the brush, three bucks were shot on Main Street in Paragonah at 10 a.m. opening day. Hunting was scarce in comparison to other years. There was too much foliage and not enough hunters to boo the deer out. A lot of doe and fawn herds were seen which will make next year's hunt better. Thomas Jones, his wife . Susan and daughter, Bobbie Marie, from Las Vegas, visited his mother, Iris Jones, last week. Some residents were irate with last week's write-up of town board meeting, and some were glad to know what was going on. During an open public meeting such as a town board meeting, anything said during that meeting can be printed even when the reporter is asked not to mention it. A good reporter prints the news which concerns you, the citizens, and not the gossip. The town board is only six citizens trying to represent all town residents. If you feel that they are not doing the job right, then get involved. Come out to town board meetings, and suggest your solutions to the problems. |
