Show Carl Jepson CARL ELMER JEPSON, JEP-SON, 83, died Oct. 20 1980, in the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. He was born June 8, 1897, in Aurora, South Dakota, to Nels and Emma Johnson Jepson. He married Esther V. Magnuson on May 30, 1924, in Dickinson, North Dakota. Carl attended the University of Montana in Greeley, Colorado and Dikinson State College in North Dakota. He was in the teaching profession for 17 years and was a Veteran of World War I & II. He was the chief park naturalist in Grand Teton National Park for 14 years, Zion National ' Park for 12 years and the Petrified Forest National Park for 2 years. He is survived by his wife of Cedar City; three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Carl (Pearl) Christensen of Lake Preston, South Dakota, Mrs. LeRue (Helma) Iddings of Longview, Washington, Mrs. E. (Marie) Graham of Calif, and Herman Jepson San Luis Obispo, Calif. Funeral services will be held today at 1 :30 p.m. in the Cedar City Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary today from noon until l p.m. Interment In-terment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery. |
