But against Payson, Gubler drew double duty--filling in for the injured Gary Alger at tailback. The senior responded with 42 solid yards on the snowy, blustery day in Payson. Defensively, Gubler also played well, Coach Dave Jenson said. "Bryce has played well all year at his defensive position, and against Payson, they didn't catch a pass in his area," Jenson s said. Gubler will be awarded a certificate from The Iron County Record, recognizing his achievement, as will other winners of the award.
